School Info

Our school is a Community Day School for Infants, which opened in January 1964, catering for boys and girls aged 4+ to 7+.

It is approximately 2 miles south of Peterborough City centre situated on a large estate, near a post office, health clinic, library, community centre and shops.

The indoor accommodation comprises - a large main hall, which divides into 2 smaller halls, our own kitchen, so that meals are cooked daily on the premises, offices, cloakrooms and a reference library.

There are nine spacious classrooms one of which is a dedicated to the teaching of ICT, one to design and technology and another that is used by Southfields Nursery.

We have installed a number of special security features to the building making it extremely difficult for anyone to gain unauthorised access during school hours.

Outside there are two large playgrounds, a large grassed area with a running track, trees to provide shade, a meadow, a mound and a maze that are gradually becoming established, children's gardens and an enclosed conservation area with a pond that we share with Southfields Junior School.

There are specially resourced outside areas that the children can use when the weather is suitable including a play area and the Phil Day Science Park.
